Stephanie Streat LL.B, B.A.

Founder, Lawyer, Mediator

Stephanie Streat created Synthesis Legal determined to bring her framework for success to an industry that is in many ways unilateral and archaic. Stephanie has achieved the most rewarding successes by listening to learn the client’s objectives and applying the law and her specialized knowledge to deliver synthesized, creative solutions.

Stephanie’s creative thinking skills and unspoken approachability gives clients a sense of ease when faced with a legal challenge. She has created a firm built upon a long-standing reputation of a high-level of competency and respect — clients know they are in the right place when needing both immediate, trusted legal representation and an inclusive member of the team for the long term.

Early in her career, Stephanie was fortunate to work closely with some of the top lawyers in construction in both Edmonton and Vancouver, on many high-profile, complex projects. Mentoring from these experts in the field contributed to Stephanie’s ability to quickly and creatively devise practical legal solutions to secure positive outcomes for her clients.

Acting for project owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, municipalities and insurers has given Stephanie the ability to look at an issue from multiple sides so that no angle is overlooked, and the insight to propose practical solutions that resolve (and prevent) conflicts.
